I cannot check right now, but I guess they were in the 5,000-10,000
range. This is not done very often, and it usually takes a few minutes
or so, but under some circumstances that skip my investigation effort
it seems taking forever: half an hour on good machines, all the night
on my poor 233Mhz :/
How can I inspect "index efficiency"? Or, to put in other words, when
does FB recalculate it? Another fact made me think its related to
that: for some reason, at one point another SP started taking lots of
time to execute, and after digging a little I discovered an index that
was there but not used at all. Forcing the plan, everything was
working great. Apparently it was not enough to disactivate/reactivate
it: I had reason of it only after dropping all indexes and recreating
them.
thanx&bye, lele.
