Some shamanism. Try to make backup and delete in exlusive access to
gdb if you can. Try to make one more backup with garbage collection ON
after delete still being exclusive user to be shure it will not be
performed in time of normal functionality of your system.
Knowing you use rather old IB6 and never refresh you database,
perhaps result of gstat -h from corrupted database can be interesting.
