It has to be on a filesystem which is physically attached to the server
host machine. Actually, I have one large partition of one of my drives
which is named /data and another large partition on a *different* drive,
named /backup, where the gbk files live. I'm a pessimist, you see. :-) I
have all ATA drives; you have a lot of flexibility if you have SCSI.
