Actually, I can't find any Yaffil sources, just some binaries on

As far as I know, it was their usual practice to get changes from
Firebird's CVS and merge them to Yaffil, we saw this in the past (until
at least some source were available). They even shout at us once when one
our change broke their build. There are reports that this practice
continues to present days.
It's not only about new features, but above all about bug fixes. It seems
that Yaffill team is concentrated more about new features than bug
squashing, so Firebird CVS come them very handy.
Again, it would clear the mud if they would operate more transparently.

I have no trouble with Yaffil beyond the possible IPL infringement. Free
riders and commercial forks are the price that we have to pay for
advantages of Open Source. But this game works only when all participants
have equal rights, so I can't sit on my hands when someone is close to
commit (or already committed) the sin of sins in open source world.
