Hei Michael!
That depends mostly on your OS, I think. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to
set up your database to use multiple files when your gdb gets that big, anyway.
Without any experience myself, I think Firebird runs beautifully on Linux,
at least I have read about many using Fb on Linux and no-one have
complained about having more problems than on Windows.
