Thanks all for the info. I went to go request this as an enhancement
and see that it was
requested 2 years ago. Is CREATE|DROP|ALTER USER part of the SQL 92
standard?
I don't know if there is a way to vote for features, but I am a firm
believer in being
able to control the database through SQL, not the API.

While I am on the subject of security, has there been any thought to
creating a special
system role that can back up the database, but nothing else?

And last, what if you find bugs reported that appear to be fixed. There
is a bug
reported with UNION in VIEWS and we aren't having any problems with them.
