I know that you can do this programmatically through using the following
API's :

OpenSCManager
OpenService
QueryServiceStatus
ControlService

Subject: [ib-support] Remote Server Shutdown

I am working remote via DUN/RAS from the machine on which the firebird
server is running.

I want to install a new UDF dll. I believe I have to restart the server to
do this.

How can I stop the server and restart it from a remote PC please?

If I had access to the server console I would use NET STOP <service> and NET
START <service> but I don't think I can isssue these from a remote PC and
have them operate on the server?

NT 4

Thanks, Andy Garner.
