i can say the same, i have worked with MSSqlServer, Informix and NewEra (damn) (on Sinix and Reliant Unix),
and a little with RDB (on OpenVMS),
.. i had to do so ....
but now i am free and i prefered Interbase and now FB, and whether that there are some
questions about the new FB, its WONDERFULL
Oracle is a good db, no question, but for nearly 96% of all needed databases i think FB can do the same,
good, fast and cheap, its a HAVE for db-developers, and a HAVE for Delhpi-developers too ...
thanks to all here ....

It's been a handful of years since I've used MSSqlServer, but at that time
(versions 4.0 and 4.5), they did NOT use a versioning model. BTW, anyone who
has not done any database programming other than with IB (or FireBird),
should try MSSql Server. You don't realize how "spoiled" we are with FB (and
IB) ;)

At the end of the first arcticle Bill Todd writes, that "At this writing
Inprise's InterBase is ... the only one to use the versioning model".
Is it true? Does anybody know if MS SQL Server is using versioning model
or not?
