Andreas, try copy gbak 5.6 onto FB machine and make backup with it.
It should'nt work if database have IB6/FB specific inside, perhaps
some problems with numerics can appear, but I know this method was
implemented to save 5.6 database which run out of limit on amount of
transactions. It was backed up/restored on FB server and then
downgraded with this trick.
