This way, I can check which machine is connected the server. I thinked about
interbase users, to check from application, in the moment of login, if this
user can log in to aplication. To prevent two users with the same name to
connect to database.

Does Linux have the equivalent of netstat (windows), a very useful utility
that will return TCP/IP port usage on the server from the server. You can
look for 3050 port connections and get the users IP address.
Maybe not exactly what you wanted.
