I have some experience compiling on FreeBSD and others platforms (apache and postgresql for Unisys SVR4 - lots of pain) , but interbase need a higher degree of knowledge (of Interbase) because the particulary complicated structure it has.
A month ago I wasted a day trying to compile the (already made) FreeBSD port, without success. Believe me, i tested everything, and follow every step.

It is not so simple.

Thank you.
