That is correct, and one of the reasons for the windows
problem when the / after C: is optional and can be omitted.

I've taken the samba stuff off again, and just use
PowerDesk's ftp client to access the linux boxes. It works
fine, and you see the actual linux path to check that it's
right from the windows machine.
