Well, that concept is already clear, but I apologize to insist. I have
eliminated Samba, and the only thing that I have among the server
(Linux) and the clients (Windows) it is the bond TCP/IP. Now, like I
make to address from the clients the path toward the server that
contains the database? Should I register the database?

is controlled from the same system board as the host processor which is
running the IB server process. You mentioned that your database was on
a Samba drive...therefore, it is not being seen as a drive which is
physically attached.
