On this subject, windows used to have a function called
"SetService()" that is now obslete.

anybody know what the replacement in the winsock.h is?

What is needed besides the gds32.dll for client mcahines?

I copied gds32.dll to a client machine, but i get a error

"Undefined Service gds_db/tcp"

trying to connect to the server.
