Yes, it does support 16KB pages as well as support to larger database
files (as big as you want them!).

Where are you seeing that? If it is with any GUI management tools, then
you probably have a problem as many developers haven't yet updated for
the new Firebird v1 features.

You can use the GBAK command line utility to restore a database with the
larger page sizes.
