Definitely turn forced writes on. But also, if possible, turn off operating
system disk I/O cacheing. In Windows 98 there's an incredibly obscure place
to do this, as if you were debugging the operating system; I can't remember
it now but I can find it if you need it. I don't know where it is on any
other system. What OS is the server running? Is it used for anything else?
