Subject RE: [ib-support] Is IB safe for 50,000,000 records ?

I can verify this as well.
I created a purely research db with 10million records and on a indexed field
i get a result in less than 10 secs for any basic query. To add the records
I wrote a program that does volume adding and there was no user-measureble
time loss for adding a new record even if 10 of these program was running on
the network similtaneosly. Each program manages to add about a 1000 records
a minute when 10 programs is running. This is not real-world but still a
good indication of speed.

I am not an expert but I do know that if you plan on such sizes you should
do proper db planning and analasys, because where and when you use indexes
and joins and foreing keys and all other such things will greatly impact on
speed. But then you knew that :-). Typed it for my own reminding.
