I'm new on this list, so welcome.

I'v got a problem with shadowing.
I'v got a database with shadow created like

CREATE SHADOW 1 MANUAL CONDITIONAL 'd:\shadow\db.shd'

Now, when the shadow became corrupt i did
gfix -kill .... to delete the reference to this corrupted shadow and allow
database attachments.
After this i was going to create the same shadow again but first wanted to
delete buggy d:\shadow\db.shd and here the bug is. This file is locked and i
couldn't delete it. I had to shut down interbase server and restert it
again. Than the file was unlocked.

Another problem is my lack of understanding of CONDITIONAL shadow. I read
the docs and it seems to me not to work as it is described. Could anybody
desribe me what (with example) how CONDITIONAL shadow works?
