Hi Gerhardus,
I want to share my experiences with inserts. I had a much smaller table to
be filled from a dbase table. The size is about 34000 records.
First I did all the inserts with a record by record commit. I was very slow.
Then I decided to commit after every 10-100-1000 etc. records inserted -
and finished at 100, for it gave a reasonable speed gain over the others.
