If you have created the database with a v6 (or Firebird) server you will have an
ODS 10 database. A v5 server cannot connect to an ODS10 database, whatever the
dialect. A v5 client can however connect to a v6 server and access an ODS10
dialect. Or at least, that is the theory. Likewise, some versions of IB6.0/Fb
have allowed accessing ODS9 databases. In general though, it is not ideal,
certainly in production.
