Hi all. If multy-processor computer will be used to carry IB server
only, I recommend Classic version on Linux. It fully uses all MP
advantages, if there is enough RAM user's dependence from activity
another users is insignificant even with active usage of SP/Triggers.
Disadvantage: you can't use IBConsole with Classic. Database can be
accessed via IBWorkBench and IBExpert (maybe more), server management
can be made only with command-line utilites now. Have no information
about plans on Services API for Classic neither in Intebase project
nor Firebird.
Best regards.
