Hi:
Sorry. I wrote the component which is installed in both BCB and Delphi from their
own respective dirs.
The problem started with delphi. When I open the app in the ide, I get an AV in the
bpl. If I close all and reopen it loads fine. I had some other problems with Delphi
version of the component (tons
of errors releasing unexisting resources in MemProof) so I reinstalled Delphi and
rebuilt component.
Tonight I opened a BCB app which uses the same component (BCB version built from
files in a BCB dir-not same files as the Delphi version) and the same thing started
happening, open the app, av in the bpl, close all and reopen and it loaded fine.
So I thought about a common factor with the machine and the only thing I could come
up with was installing VC 6.
Before yesterday when the delphi problems started, the component loaded and worked
fine in both Delphi and BCB.
That was the basis for asking the question.
Thanks.
Best regards
