Thanks Svein for the reply. It was my misunderstanding of the format as I wasn't
using the space between the = and : which IB requires. The tables and all the
fileds are identical with a mysql database as I pumped everything from one to
create the other so that's not the problem. Even with my modifictions in place, I
still seem to have problem with sql. Just growing pains as I try and translate
this mssql app to IB and don't have the luxury of time to "read the book". Thanks
