I'm probably not the right one to ask - if you've seen my recent
posting concerning gbak restore problems.

Was the backup created with gbak or through ibconsole? There were
comments for a while that ibconsole backups were not reliable, I dont
know if this still applies to the latest version.

What version of everything are you using? You could try updating to
Firebird 0.9.4 and the latest ibconsole, but I doubt if these will
help with this problem.

If at all possible, I suggest trying to get another backup done using
gbak and see if that will work.

Given the sort of error raised by gbak, it may be worthwhile trying
the restore on a different machine to make sure you dont have some
sort of software conflict on your system.
