Sean,
Thanks for your help. It seems that brute force and ignorance on my
part has solved the problem. The services file wasn't updated and the
service, though added with automatic start, possibly wasn't started.
Once the services file was updated it seemed it needed a telnet to
the port to wake it up in some way and then it magically started
working. Go figure...
