Hi:
get the info itself. You install client and it magically sets itself up to access the
gdb on the server without intervention.
Of course I could write a dll that install on the server and a component to put in
the app that calls the dll functions to read the reg entries that are not under the
SID and not accessible with RegConnect and relay that back to the client app. Or I can
add that functionality to IBConsole itself which could have an alias lookup table.
Or....Or... Or...
But by far, the best would be IB itself allowing access by Alias. Thinking,
thinking.
