1. Log everyone off and shut down the server.
2. Move isc4.gdb into another directory for safe-keeping.
3. Make a fresh copy of the isc4.gdb by running gbak -c on the server machine, to restore the isc4.gbk that is in your server's root directory directly into the same directory.
4. Start the server and log in as SYSDBA, password masterke
5. Change the SYSDBA password, write down the new password and store it somewhere safe.
6. Pump the data from the saved isc4.gdb into your new one, excluding the record for SYSDBA.
7. If the old passwords don't work in the new isc4.gdb, set up new ones for all users.

NB This is also an ideal way for someone to get access to your data in a stolen database.
