I rememeber Ivan Prenosil having an article on his site
(http://www.volny.cz/iprenosil/interbase)
where he discussed loggin users connecting to the db via external tables
which would be written directly from ISC4.gdb.
Basically, I think he did log requests to the users password by shadowing
the table with a view or SP and writing a log from the view/sp directly.

This could be a starting point
