With your hints I could optimize the view.
I also found an error in the table desgin. We changed the data structure
a bit. So the view is also simpler now!

I am familiar with SQL but normally I only do a little 'perl magic' with
some debian boxes and IB (collecting administration data).
No great application developer. ;-)
