I had not really understood that results were genuinely
unpredictable - ie dependent on the optimizer. I had also assumed
that the field names would always be scanned in the same order for a
match - the concept of flipping the stack was out of my mental
scope.
So I am now persuaded. I'll tighten up my code. Ambiguity is dead.
