but then you put up with the problems <g>.
I've always had to change the gds32, on IB5.6 you had to use
the IB5.1 version as it was the only one that worked.
On IB6, I had a number of 'niggles' but those disappeared as
soon as I switched to a later gds32. I'm FINALLY running
24/7 with the Firebird '338' build and the only remaining
niggles are all atributable to network dropouts, from which
we can recover.
I believe the advice is - "Use the client that matches the
server" - i.e. that version of gds32.dll
