..some time before I die...<sigh>...but there are two *other* books in the pipeline, one (in two volumes) quite soon, one a few months from now...

The best way to deal with this is to remodel your database completely - script it every step of the way, test things out with test data borrowed from your existing database - and then simply pump the data into a brand-new shell created from your *perfect* script. That way you can take care of your dependencies ahead of time and find any problem data that might be lurking about in your old database.

And it is sooooo refreshing - like slipping between clean bedsheets.

One thing our community does very, very well is data pump tools.
