Ah, sorry about that. I read on the FB site that JDBC would be in a future release... didn't know it was compatible with IB's InterClient.
One questions about a fuzzy area, I've read on some posts that FB is not free for commercial use, but only non-commercial use.
Is this true? I find that a little hard to believe since IB OS is free for both.

Lack of JDBC support? Borland's InterClient and InterServer work quite
happily with Firebird (no surprise), and we posted a 2.01 Windows and Linux
build of InterServer and InterClient (JDK 1.3) only yesterday, that has all
of Firebirds bug fixes in it.
