Subject RE: [ib-support] Activating - Deactivating Indices

Sorry for asking the question before doing a complete search, I found my
answer. Simply backing up and restoring back rebuilds indexes and alter
index index_name active | inactive activates / deactivates index. These were
told in data definition guide.

Subject: [ib-support] Activating - Deactivating Indices

Hi,

How do we activate/deactivate indexes? Or how do we rebuild indexes? And
activating/deactivating indexes is equal to rebuilding indexes?

TIA
