Subject RE: [ib-support] AIX + IB6 ???

(This is a duplicate message, my first attempt got mung'ed somehow.)

I have placed two files in the Firebird anonymous FTP area:

4731223 Jan 17 20:48 FirebirdCS-0.9-4.AIX.bff.Z
12299 Jan 17 20:48 FirebirdCS-0.9-4.AIX.readme

these represent a current build of Firebird for AIX.

FirebirdCS-0.9-4.AIX.readme is a Unix ASCII text file.

FirebirdCS-0.9-4.AIX.bff.Z is a compressed binary file. Uncompress this
file, using uncompress, and you will be able to use it as input to the AIX
restore command. The readme file has more information on this process.

Use these files at your own risk; they are presented with out any implicit
or explicit warranties of any kind.

Here are the first few lines of the readme file:

Firebird Classic Server for AIX

This release was compiled on AIX 4.2.1.0 using gcc version 2.95.2 19991024
(release).

This is a test release of Firebird compiled from a download on Wednesday,
January 17, 2001.

This release has been tested with all TCS tests except:
V4_EXCLUSIVE
IDML_C_CHARSET

The production system where I work uses a very similar build with up to 130
concurrent users with very few problems.

Please let me know how you make out.
