Hardly hours, if you would use any editor or IDE that supports find &
replace in group of text files, as they usually work much faster. And
you would have to check (and possibly adapt) your code anyway, because
the API logic changed for number of methods. I'm sure you would
eventually appreciate the change, as the new API is much better. The
original KInterbasDB Services API was a mess from beginning, and
actually a subject of change in future. It just happened that David
haven't had a chance to properly finish it. I would did the change much
earlier in FDB's development, but services.py was mostly taken from
KInterbasDB AS IS, and there were more important things to do.
