I am using kinterbasdb 3.3 + Python 2.6 but with firebird 2.1 so it's just you :-)

What is the value of PATH?

for reference my connection code is:
con = kinterbasdb.connect(dsn='localhost:C:\databases\mydb.FDB', user='sysdba', password='masterke')

I even uninstalled and reinstalled Firebird and kinterbasdb 3.3. but nope. So it really looks like that the problem is in kinterbasdb 3.3 for Python 2.6.
