Not necessarily. I read through the "internals" thread - my take is the
PHP team doesn't know how to work with Firebird and has been looking for
help they haven't received. I also saw an attempted patch for the
multiple connection problem.

I'm guessing, only guessing, that whatever the "main" Firebird userbase
the Firebird developers are aware of isn't PHP. Probably none of the key
developers use PHP as a preferred language. So they're not active on the
PHP site. Which sucks for me as that's all I use at the moment. Maybe
it's time to start playing with Python...

I suggest posting to either the general "Firebird-Support" page, or
trying to contact someone directly (names like Helen or Vlad come to
mind) to see if the two groups can get a minimal dialog going.
