What do you mean with use flame robin as the database? AFAIK, flame robin is Firebird database management tool.

From the error, just make sure:
1. Your localhost id 127.0.0.1 or :::::::1
2. You installed Firebird as service, and install it on right platform (32 bit or 64 bit?)
3. Your Firebird service is running, check the Guardian in the Windows Control Panel
