I had similar problems with numeric fields that were divided by 10 etc so I
had to compile a php_interbase module for the latest PHP.
It is quite a mission to do this but I could easily help / assist with a
fool proof step by step if anyone wants to go to these lengths.
It takes about 2 hours to download and setup a development environment on
windows to make it work.
