Hi Everyone
I've given up writing lengthy tutorials for making Firebird work on
windows and Linux. What I've found that works really well is the latest
WAMP installation, with the module for PHP 5.2.9 (which has firebird)
and with a few clicks on the WAMP menu the Firebird module is enabled.
Basically the installation is as follows:
Install Latest WAMP 2 (PHP 5.3.0)
Install WAMP module with PHP 5.2.9
Choose PHP 5.2.9 from the WAMP menu (It will restart)
Click on the Interbase / Firebird extension under the PHP 5.2.9 menu on
the WAMP menu.
Everything should work 100% - No more including modules manually. If
anyone needs a Firebird / Apache / PHP tutorial for Linux then I can
whip one up quite quickly as I've worked through some of the headaches
on that side.
Yours sincerely
Andre
