Not exactly true. I am fund by MSFT to work on php. I work with them
not for them, that makes a huge difference.

And as I believe in deversity (even niches like firebird), I did try
my best to find solution for firebird support in PHP. I helped whoever
asked for help, support or looking for tools.

For those willing to create a better cooperation effort (Vlad?), I'm
idling on freenode and I'm still open to any solution. I'm also still
ready to help anyone asking for help.
