I did not say it was missing from PHP - just that *I* need to sort out a
compatible version. But at present I'm in VCExpress hell even trying to
get the basic stuff compiled - page 17 of the article!

I have a number of other PECL extensions that I need to sort out what
the alternatives are but they are not so important and hopefully once I
can actually compile ...

On the plus side - as I have said - bitweaver is now running on PHP5.3,
and we have identified a number of changes that remove the majority of
the warnings. Just waiting on confirmation that these will not blow up
PHP compatibility short term. The remaining errors need a little more
knowledge than I have to address them :(

Anyway back to trawling the internet for some pointers on making
VCExpress work ...
