junkers109 - Just make sure you delete the gds32.dll file supplied with
PHP. It has no use and only causes problems. If you install Firebird on
the machine and make sure that 'legacy support' is selected and 'copy to
system32' then everything works fine. I've not had a problem with the
'services' file for some years ....
