I found ADOdb early on, and while a lot of people complain it is a bit
'heavy' the fact that I can import data directly from customers other
systems on most other databases has proven a bonus.

I'm sure a lot of my code is very bad practice as well, but it is
getting better :)
I'm using bitweaver as my framework now, and the guys and galls there
keep me under control, the code base is very tidy and uses ADOdb and smarty.
