Don't know on Fedora, but the SUSE boot disk you just download the .ISO
and burn that. Mine then boots.
I think you are mixing up creating a boot image when you don't have one,
with copying an already configured boot disk to the CD?

could be... I have tried just burning an iso image (Disk 1 and also boot.iso
which is inside the disk1 iso image) to the CD but the disk isn't recognised
by the machine in either case. I remember now with the redhat box I had to
make a rawrite floppy to start the process. I was hoping to solve this issue
this time.
