I've not had any problem - but I work through ADOdb - not that that
should make a difference. Don't know what to suggest.

So php queries work fine, otherwise there would be nothing.
Have you tried the filter in ibWebAdmin - and put the string you are
looking for in there ?
To be honest, I've been using ibWebAdmin to test queries without a
problem so we are missing something :(
