Possible. Maybe IIS was searching the whole disk to find it?

I'm already using the full path. The interesting thing is that pure PHP
pages with interbase extension loaded work fast. Only the call to
ibase_connect() takes time. I will try to put timers before and after
that call to be sure that is the case. But, that will be next time I
visit the client, in few weeks.
