What kind of driver are you using? It's different of the driver, for
expamle:

Verbindungsdaten = "Provider=ibole.Provider.v4;Password=MyPassWord;User
ID=SYSDBA;Lock resolution=1;Isolation level=4096;SQL Dialect=3;Logging
Level=0;Silent mode=True;Character Set = WIN1250;Data Source=" &
LocationOfDatabase

That's a Connectionstring for IBOLE ...

P.S.: Create on your desktop an File with the extension udl , doppelklick it
and under provider select the firebird database driver and there you can
test every attribut of the driver..
