Howdy,
In /etc/group, add the www user to the firebird group.
Or chmod 444 /usr/local/firebird/*.conf.
I'll be submitting a PR shortly to fix this problem.
The message is actually logged in /var/log/messages
My apologies for missing this in the 1.5 update.
